Need-Sensitive Private Study/Instrument Upgrade Application

Applications are accepted throughout the year, with the following deadlines:

  • Deadline: July 19, 2024 | Review: Week of August 5, 2024
  • Deadline: October 11, 2024 | Review: Week of October 28, 2024
  • Deadline: February 14, 2025 | Review: Week of February 24, 2025
  • Deadline: April 25, 2025 | Review: Week of May 12, 2025

Applications must be complete by the deadline to be reviewed. Applications are considered complete when students submit their application, student essay, and teacher recommendation.

Private Study Scholarships

  • Students who attend school in and reside in Berks County are eligible.
  • Awards are determined by need level, and are eligible for renewal every six months.
  • Students may request teachers use RMF’s teacher recommendation form in lieu of a written recommendation.
  • Awards will not be paid retroactively.

Instrument Upgrade Scholarships

  • Students who attend school in and reside in Berks County are eligible.
  • Awards are determined by need level, with a maximum award level of $500
  • Students may request teachers use RMF’s teacher recommendation form in lieu of a written recommendation.
  • Awards will not be paid retroactively.
