Scholarships

Reading Musical Foundation awards more than $250,000 annually in music scholarships to Berks County musicians. The scholarship program at RMF offers:

Merit Awards (awards by audition) – held annually each Spring
RMF holds professionally adjudicated auditions for students in grades 1-12 for piano, organ, strings, woodwind, brass, guitar, voice, and percussion, as well as college tuition scholarships for high school seniors planning to major in music in college.

Need-Sensitive Awards
RMF provides scholarships for students who would like to take private lessons, purchase a new instrument, or attend a summer music camp, but do not have the financial resources to do so. RMF reviews applications quarterly. Private study students may reapply for renewal awards every six months.
